Elehuris Montero earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his double against the Cardinals on Monday night at Coors Field.

The Rockies were tied with St. Louis 2-2 in the fourth inning when Montero came to the plate and ripped a ball into the left-field corner, allowing catcher Elias Diaz to score all the way from first base. The blow gave Colorado a 3-2 lead, and they went on to win 7-4. The Rockies improved to 5-6 on the season as they claw back toward .500, winners of two games in a row.
