The guys debate if Paxton is even comfy being a backup, and how much working with Charlie Taaffe is helping his game. Nate tells DMac the Broncos LT situation is not an inevitable disaster, and it’s also not an easy position. Nate talks about his ability to watch & pick out things a player can improve on in 10 minutes or less, like footwork, quickness, and getting your hands inside. Nate says it’s imperative to remember the people you had success with, and Brady’s missing jersey was like watching an episode of Narcos, he couldn’t even find a pair of Cutters gloves at the time. Charlie Taaffe joins the show to talk about Paxton Lynch and his progress this off-season. What is different now for Paxton than before the 2016 NFL Draft, and what coming out of the Memphis system did for Lynch. Charlie says Paxton has been spending time working under center, quick release & throwing motion, and feels when his strides are too long. Preparation has been important, and Charlie says timing between these green QBs and their receivers is critical. Paxton knew nothing when he came to Denver, and Charlie gives some insight on where he is now and how far he’s come in his development.
