The Drive with Chad Brown & DMac LIVE in studio! The guys debate the LaVar Ball empire, and DMac wonders if LaVar has already killed Lonzo’s NBA career before it even got started. Also, how dangerously high Dalvin Cook was on John Elway’s draft board. DMac can’t wait to convince his dad to compare Boston Red-Sox fans to particular people. Manny Machado hits a home run after being thrown behind by Chris Sale, and Peter talks about protecting the plate, revenge for a teammate & throwing at a guy’s head.
DMac asks Chad if there’s a little part of him that’s jealous of Jay Cutler, now that Cutler has landed a gig with FOX in the wake of John Lynch moving on. DMac states that little league baseball may be corrupt, and Chad knows the son or daughter must love the sport like the parent. Chad says Lonzo’s dreams need to be the same as his dad’s. Also, gauging the Broncos interest in Joe Mixon & how high Dalvin Cook was on Elway’s draft board.
DMac asks Chad when did Paxton Lynch & Chad Kelly bloom, and if he’s heard of the unlucky Kyle Sloter. The guys hear from Trevor Siemian from Polumbus & Cecil on taking snaps under center & not exposing the defense. DMac says we should start to see more QB gurus give guys pro training, and Chad laughs about Nick Saban’s cool $11 million heading his way this year for coaching the Tide. DMac can’t wait to convince his dad to compare Boston Red-Sox fans to particular people. Manny Machado hits a home run after being thrown behind by Chris Sale, and Peter talks about protecting the plate, revenge for a teammate & throwing at a guy’s head. The code of baseball, and when it’s okay to start a fight between bullpens.
A general shift seems to be going on in sports media, as the guys wonder if Tony Romo & Jay Cutler fit today’s demographic & appeal to a young audience. Chad says Jay Cutler has arm strength & ability, but doesn’t love football enough. DMac mentions all the exciting Broncos moments that did not involve Cutler, and why Tebow-mania came to an abrupt end. Also, much-anticipated Kentucky Derby picks.
