C.J. Cron wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

C.J. Cron earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his monster home run against the Padres on Saturday night.

The Rockies were trailing San Diego 5-2 in the sixth inning when Cron came to the plate and launched a ball to left field for his third home run of the season. Charlie Blackmon came around to score on the blast as well, trimming the deficit to 5-4. Unfortunately, the Rockies would go on to lose 8-4, but are still 2-1 on the young season.
