The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Perfect Colorado weather and the perfect time to go see a baseball game at Coors Field. Cecil Lammey joins the show to discuss Denver Broncos Rookie Minicamp ’17 and all the walking around that was going on. Cecil says it was more of a rookie orientation, and the rookies are not doing as much as they used to do in the past. Also, A-Rod doesn’t respect Derek Jeter night, and DMac is still not over Melo leaving Denver.
Where the Denver Broncos future all changed & what road game on the docket for ’17 is most intriguing to Big Al & DMac. Zaza Pachulia hurts Kawhi Leonard’s ankle and the San Antonio Spurs’ playoff lives now hang in the balance after allowing the Warriors to come back from 25 points down on Mother’s Day. Big Al says the Broncos shouldn’t show interest in Orlando Franklin, and the argument flares over staying safe when sliding into a base.
Derek Jeter night is remembered & DMac doesn’t understand why Alex Rodriguez wasn’t there. Cecil Lammey joins the show to discuss Denver Broncos Rookie Minicamp ’17 and all the walking around that was going on. Cecil says it was more of a rookie orientation, and the rookies are not doing as much as they used to do in the past. Big Al says learning time for the rookies has begun, and asks Cecil some particular questions about the Wonderlic test. Too many options to be forced to listen to a Jay Cutler broadcast team, and what athletes are the most hated nationally. Big Al wonders if Jay Cutler is even loved anywhere, and DMac says it would be fun to have A-Rod kind of money, fly private, and be a no-show for Derek Jeter night. DMac still misses Carmelo Anthony, and asks Al why Brock & Malik didn’t show up for the Super Bowl ring ceremony or Peyton Manning’s retirement. Also, Steve Kerr healthy enough to give a halftime speech, and the hypocritical defense of Bruce Bowen by Gregg Popovich.
