Schlereth & Evans – 4/13/16 – Wednesday’s show saw Mark and Mike talk a lot about the Pro Day held by the Broncos at Dove Valley yesterday as well as Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook and which rookie QB would fit best in Coach Kubiak’s system.
Hour One started off with the guys chatting about some of their impressions from the Pro Day held by the Broncos at their facility yesterday and which of the guys in attendance raised their draft stock the most.
The gents then moved on to the Morning Brew where they talked Max McCaffrey and the Broncos Pro Day, the young guns Elway and Kubiak may target in the draft, the Rockies cooling off and the don’t-miss NBA games tipping off tonight.
The fellas closed hour one talking about some different draft day scenarios that could have the Broncos moving up and taking a QB high in the first round.
“Clear The Air” started off hour two of Schlereth & Evans where Mark gives his opinion on what happens to NFL franchises who chase certain picks or players in the draft.
4 Down Territory kicked off in the middle of hour two where Mark and Mike talk more Broncos Pro Day, Paxton Lynch visiting Dove Valley, Todd McShay’s best QB fit for the Broncos and the interesting activity Cam Newton does in the off-season to stay in shape.
The middle hour closed with the guys taking texts from the Fan Text Line where texters talked more Water Polo and Cam Newton as well some NFL draft talk pertaining to QB Carson Wentz.
Hour Three started off with an intense debate between Stink and Mike about which of tonight’s premier NBA games is more important and whether The Warriors chance at NBA history is more intriguing then the farewell game for Lakers legend Kobe Bryant in L.A.
Mark then moves on to discuss why teams do not and should not pay top-tier starter money to a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick who has been a career journeymen QB for a number of years in the league.
The guys close the final hour of Wednesday’s show discussing some the players they believe were “chased” in the NFL Draft and how those guys’ careers are panning out in the league so far.
