The Drive – 03/08/2016: Big Al and D-Mac kick off the show reacting to the loss of Brock Osweiler to the Huston Texans. They talk about the other free agent moves around the league, including the Broncos signing Donald Stephenson who joins them on the show to talk about his move to Denver. They take some callers to gather ideas on where the Broncos will move after Osweiler. They talk about why the offer fell through. They respond to John Elway’s comments on Osweiler parting ways with the team. They talk about how the Broncos could have gone about signing Brock if they really wanted to bring him back. They are joined by Chad Brown to get his take on the Osweiler deal.

3PM – Big Al & D-Mac open the show reacting to the huge news that Brock Owseiler signed to the Huston Texas for a 4 year deal worth $72 million. They talk about the signings around the league, such as Lamar Miller to Huston, Olivier Vernon to the Giants, and Malik Jackson to Jacksonville. They talk about the Broncos options at QB, Big Al thinks they should look for the answer in the draft. He predicts that the Broncos will have a down year in 2016, losing the AFC West for the first time in five years. D-Mac kicks off the Big Three at 3:30 by talking about the signing of Brock Osweiler and asking what is next for the Broncos. Big Al talks about Matt Flynn, the QB who signed with the Seahawks for big money before being benched for Russel Wilson. D-Mac talks about the Broncos signing of offensive tackle Donald Stephenson. Stephenson then joins the show to talk about his contract signing. The talk about the process of getting a deal done. 4PM – The guys open the show looking more into the other option the Broncos have at QB. They talk about whether or not Brock Osweiler was a good draft pick for the Broncos. They talk about the front office and the coaching staff and the idea that the Broncos are set up for success. D-Mac says that he didn’t like the Brock Osweiler pick four years ago, but that he now believes that Osweiler would have given the Broncos the best chance to win. They respond to comments John Elway made on the signing, saying that Brock Osweiler must have had some issues with the organization. D-Mac brings up that the Texans were willing to offer around $16 Million more than the Broncos. Big Al talks about how Derek Wolfe and Chris Harris Jr. gave the Broncos incredibly good deals when they could have gotten more money elsewhere. They question how much the decision to bench Brock in week 17 influenced his decision. They bring up C.J. Anderson, who has four other teams interested, and ask about the chances of losing him as well.

5PM – The guys open the final hour of the show joined by Chad Brown. They talk about the Brock Osweiler deal, and what caused the broncos to back out of a bidding war. Big Al talks about guys like Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward who took hometown discount deals with the Steelers, and how players will stick with a team if they love the culture of that team. Chad Brown brings up Elway’s comments, saying that they were disrespectful to Brock Osweiler. They talk about why the Patriots would love to add C.J. Anderson to their roster. D-Mac asks if it would have been easier to sign Osweiler if they had not been so lenient with Peyton Manning in terms of giving him time to make his decision. They talk about how Emmanuel Sanders said that any QB who can run can have success with the Broncos. They also discus the mixed reports about RG3 as a teammate. The guys close the show talking about the effects Manning’s departure will have on the Broncos ability to bring in free agents.
