Myles O’Connor had stints in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks between the years 1990 and 1994. He was 59-years-old at the time of his death.
Logan O’Connor had been battling a lower-body injury through the early part of the season and was slated to potentially make his 2026-27 debut later tonight in Calgary.
That’s on hold, as the Avalanche posted O’Connor is taking time away to be with his family, which is obviously the right thing to do after this terrible tragedy.
Logan O’Connor played his collegiate hockey at the University of Denver and his entire NHL career thus far with the Avs.
He’s appeared in 356 regular season games with Colorado, tallying 45 goals and 60 assists. Logan O’Connor made his Avalanche debut during the 2018-19 campaign and signed a six-year contract extension in September of 2024.
