NFL announces key dates through 2022
With the opening of Training Camp just a few weeks away, the NFL announced several key dates for the 2021 season and 2022 offseason

With the opening of Training Camp just a few weeks away it’s time to look at the important upcoming NFL calendar dates that will have great significance for the Denver Broncos and NFL.
Here are the key dates to know:
August
August 10: Trade deadline for undrafted rookie players
August 17: Roster cuts from 90 to 85
August 24: Roster cuts from 85 to 80
August 31: Roster cuts from 80 to 53
September
September 1: Practice squad establishment
September 1: Injured reserve return window opens
September 12: Opening day
October
Mid-October/October 18: PUP/NFI players can start practicing again
November
November 2: Trade deadline
November 16: In-season signing deadline
January
January 10: Contract extension window for 2019 draft picks opens
January 10: Fifth-year option window for 2019 first-round draft picks opens
February
February 3: East-West Shrine Bowl in Las Vegas
February 5: Senior Bowl in Mobile
February 13: Super Bowl LVI
March
March 1-7: Scouting Combine in Indianapolis
March 8: Franchise/transition player deadline
March 14-16: Legal tampering period
March 16: Start of the 2022 league year and free agency

April 18: Start of the offseason workout program
April 27: Deadline to match offers to RFAs
April 28-30: NFL Draft in Las Vegas
