Former CU Buffs safety Shilo Sanders gets ejected then cut in 24 hours

It was not a good 24 hours for former CU Buffs player Shilo Sanders.

The Tampa Bay safety Sanders, the son of Coach Prime and brother of Shedeur, got ejected from the Buccaneers and Bills game on Saturday for throwing a punch after a scuffle.

On Sunday, he was cut by the Bucs, and won’t make Tampa Bay’s 53-man roster.

Here’s the incident against the Bills, along with the news from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the organization is moving on from Shilo Sanders.

Sanders went undrafted before landing in Tampa Bay. He has a complicated history, including getting ejected from a CU game for targeting. He was not invited to the NFL Combine, which surprised some given that his father is Deion Sanders.

During the preseason with the Buccaneers, Shilo Sanders had four tackles. Now, we’ll see if he gets claimed by another team, or if he’s a free agent available for anyone to sign.

Whether or not that happens is up in the air, and this could be the end of the road for a brief pro career.
