Rockies Opening Day is always a special occasion, but it was ramped up this year by the presence of Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

Wilson and his wife, superstar Ciara, were at the game as Wilson was selected to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Wilson also raved about his time with the Rockies at his introductory press conference with the Broncos.

That pitch had some velocity on it! It was a lot better than Peyton Manning’s at the All-Star Game last summer as well.

It’s good to have Russell Wilson and Ciara in Denver, it’s even better to see them embracing the community from the very start.
