Von Miller openly campaigning to return to Broncos next season

Denver Broncos legend Von Miller wants to come home.

This isn’t the first time the Super Bowl 50 MVP has made noise about returning to the Mile High City, but Miller isn’t beating around the bush.

In a new episode of his podcast “Free Range” that dropped on Tuesday, Miller made his strongest comments yet. In previewing the Broncos and Bills divisional round playoff game this weekend, Miller talked about wanting to join Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper in Denver’s outside linebacker room.

“After the season, y’all make room for me over there with the Denver Broncos,” Von Miller said. “I would love to be a Denver Bronco next season.”

Miller says he wants to be on the team and “contribute in any way that I can to improve those guys.” He sees himself in a mentor role, much like Elvis Dumervil and DeMarcus Ware did for Miller early in his career with the Broncos.

“Let’s just rock out, man. Me, Jonathon Cooper, Nik Bonitto. Like bro, why not? I had nine sacks… I led probably 20 teams in the NFL in sacks this season,” Miller said.

He did indeed have nine sacks with the Commanders this year, his first with the franchise. Miller was on a one-year deal with Washington, so he’s a free agent this spring.

Von Miller previously said he tried to join the Broncos before the 2025 season, but that conversation with Denver GM George Paton was a quick one. It wasn’t a fit.

Maybe, things will change in a few months. But one thing is clear: if it’s up to Von Miller, he’ll wear orange and blue again before his NFL career is finished.
