The Denver Broncos were walked off in Week 2, losing on a buzzer-beating field goal by Spencer Shrader to give the Indianapolis Colts a 29-28 win.

The Broncos had appeared to win after Shrader missed a 60-yard field goal, but the play was called back. Eyioma Uwazurike was called for a leverage penalty, a personal foul, giving the Colts another shot and moving the kick up 15 yards. It was true the second time.

After the game, the penalty was officially given to Dondrea Tillman.

Wil Lutz missed a Broncos field goal on the previous drive that would’ve forced the Colts to score a touchdown, not a field goal, to win the game.

“Obviously, a disappointing loss. We did a lot of things late in that game to keep us from winning,” Sean Payton said after the game. “It will be painful to watch that film. … We had a number of opportunities to not be in that position late.”

Denver is now 1-1 on the season, playing the Los Angeles Chargers next week.
