Watch: Previewing the Broncos' corners | Orange and Blue Today | 29 mins
Pritchard & Cecil – 03/07/2018 – Pritchard & Cecil live in studio. Wednesday’s show the guys talk about the free agent frenzy for Kirk Cousins, if the Broncos should think about taking Minkah Fitzpatrick at number five overall and if Josh Allen is too hot of prospect now to be available at number five overall in the draft.
Hour one Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Kirk Cousins frenzy that is about to take place soon this off-season. Mike Pritchard explains how he wants to see Kirk Cousins but just not with the Denver Broncos this season. Cecil Lammey gives his latest thoughts on why Kirk Cousins would solve a lot of problems for the Denver Broncos in free agency. The guys once again debate and break down the pros and cons of signing Kirk Cousins. Mike Pritchard goes into why he still would like the Broncos to take a look at Case Keenum via free agency. Also, can the Broncos still compete for Kirk Cousins? The guys debate that and then jump into some other positions of need for the Broncos.
Pritchard & Cecil talk about the tight end position for the Broncos. Cecil Lammey shares a tight end the Broncos could trade for but is he worth it? Find out who that player is and if the guys think the Broncos should trade for this certain tight end. The guys also briefly take a look at the season outlook for current Broncos tight end Jake Butt.
Hour two Pritchard & Cecil first get into if the Broncos should think about taking a corner back in Minkah Fitzpatrick at number five overall in the first round. The guys look at why it hasn’t been talked about at all and if under any scenario the Broncos should think about taking Fitzpatrick with their first round pick. Cecil Lammey makes the case for why the Broncos would want to keep improving and keep their defense as strong as it’s been the past couple seasons. Mike Pritchard then talks about why it’s not the worse scenario in the world but that the Broncos should continue to look elsewhere at number five overall.
Pritchard & Cecil then talk about Kirk Cousins some more and quarterback Josh Allen’s prospects as a first round quarterback. The guys talk about some comments made by Cousins teammate De’Angelo Hall about his leadership. The guys weigh in on that and then look at if Allen is too hot of a prospect for the Broncos to have a chance at number five overall for him.
Hour three Pritchard & Cecil talk about how the Los Angeles Rams have built their defense the past few seasons. The guys talk about why the Rams may have the new “No Fly Zone” and why they have used the Broncos mold to build their defense. The guys then get into which team in the NFL has the most pressure to win Super Bowl 53. The guys each give one of their teams that they mostly think has the most pressure on them to win the Super Bowl this season. The guys also talk about where the Broncos would rank on the list of teams with pressure to win the Super Bowl. Pritchard & Cecil look around the league at some news around the NFL as well.
For the rest of the final hour of the show Pritchard & Cecil talk about the Broncos quarterback position some more and one quarterback example that Cecil Lammey wants to use to try and change Mike Pritchard’s mind on Case Keenum as a future starting quarterback the Broncos.
