DENVER BRONCOS

The Broncos had their best win years over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. It was a dominating victory from start to finish.

The run game is what really kept this offense going and kept the Dallas defense guessing all game. Javonte Williams yet again had multiple “wow” plays, but only ended up with 17 carries at the end of the game. It’s time to give Javonte Williams 20-plus carries in a game.

Melvin Gordon and Williams both had themselves a big game in Dallas. Gordon is still too good to bench entirely, but Williams is the future for this franchise at the running back position.

It’s time to give him a full workload in a game. Gordon can still come in on third down in certain passing situations, but Williams needs to be the starter and workhorse moving forward.

Williams does not go down on first contact, and can be penciled in for a big run or two every week. If the Broncos want to have an identity on offense, Williams is the perfect running back to feature.

He breaks tackles, is good in pass protection and gets better as the game goes on. His aggressive running style is what this offense should be built around moving forward for the 2021 season.
