Injury Report: The Broncos escape with a win, stay relatively healthy

Not only did the Broncos come away with a thrilling, come-from-behind win over the Chargers on Sunday, but they didn’t suffer many injuries during the 31-30 victory. For the most part, Denver exited the game relatively unscathed.

Cornerback A.J. Bouye was probably the most serious injury. He was knocked out of the game by “friendly fire,” as safety Kareem Jackson delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit on his teammate while both were trying to make a tackle.

Perhaps the most-notable injury was suffered by Vic Fangio. After Drew Lock’s third quarter interception, a player was blocked into the Broncos head coach. Afterward, Fangio was seen with a mask instead of his face shield, no glasses and a band-aid over the bridge of his nose. The coach showed his toughness, however, sticking it out in the second half.
