A special guest was on hand for the Broncos' first home playoff game in 10 years: "Star Wars" creator George Lucas.

Perhaps the Force was with the Broncos on Saturday, and with good reason: George Lucas, the man who first conjured up the “Star Wars” universe was on hand.
Lucas, whose wife, Mellody Hobson, is part of the Walton-Penner ownership group that purchased the Broncos in 2022, attended the Broncos’ divisional-playoff win over the Buffalo Bills, hanging out on the sideline before the game before watching the contest from a luxury suite.
Hobson posted pictures of the two at Saturday’s game on her Instagram account.
Staying true to his brand, Lucas wore a “Star Wars”-themed Broncos shirt, bearing the image of iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett.

GEORGE LUCAS AND MELLODY HOBSON HAVE A LONGSTANDING PARTNERSHIP
Hobson and George Lucas married in 2013 and have been together as a couple since 2006. Together, they have a daughter.
Lucas, who used the success of his blockbuster 1977 film to propel his career into the stratosphere, broadened the reach of the “Star Wars” franchise and developed and produced the “Indiana Jones” series with Steven Spielberg. Lucas also expanded his reach into special effects and film production, building Lucasfilm, Ltd. into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. In 2012, he sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4.05 billion.
Hobson is co-CEO of Ariel Investments, which has a portfolio that includes assets valued at over $13 billion.
