ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Evan Engram is good to go for Monday Night Football.
The Broncos listed him as a full participant after Saturday’s practice, and he does not have a “questionable” designation on the injury report after going through three consecutive full days of work in advance of the Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Look, I feel great right now, taking it day by day,” Engram said after Friday’s practice.
His return is welcome news for the Broncos, who haven’t gotten much from the tight-end position in terms of pass-catching production so far this season. That includes Engram, who had just 33 yards on four receptions over the first two games of the regular season before missing last week’s game due to a back issue.
“Good. He’s doing well, he’s full. He’s playing,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said of Engram on Saturday.
Between getting accustomed to the offense and dealing with calf and back issues in the first three weeks of the campaign, patience has been required for the free-agent pickup.
“Some adversity early on,” Engram said. “But life is hard sometimes. Adversity kind of hits sometimes, and I think we’re battling it as a team. We’re hitting it head on.
“And even for myself, I’m going to continue to battle and looking forward to going out there and playing football.”
BEYOND ENGRAM: MIMS QUESTIONABLE
The Broncos did have one concerning thing pop up during Saturday’s practice, as WR Marvin Mims Jr. was a limited participant and is now listed as questionable against the Bengals with a hip injury.
Mims had not been listed on the injury report in the previous two days. Everyone else is good to go.
