Tuesday is going to be a big day for Aaron Rodgers.

He teams up with last year’s U.S. Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau, to take on Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson in The Match, which will be a well-watched golf event. But on Tuesday, we’ll also find out if he opted out of the 2021 season. In case you haven’t been following, there has been no official word on opt-outs yet from the league.

Friday was the deadline to file. But on Friday, the league office was closed and didn’t put out a waiver wire, which would have given the official work on who was in and out for next year. There was no waiver wire Monday. The next wire will come out Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. MT.

There have been no leaks so far. You’ve noticed no reporter has been able to break an opt-out story on Rodgers.

Certainly, the odds favor him not opting out. He loves the game of football. He just doesn’t love the idea of playing football in Green Bay anymore because of top management.

On Monday, Rodgers held a new conference for The Match, but he didn’t say anything about opt-outs. He talked about how he has taken steps to try to improve his mental health. He also talked about how he has been thinking about his long-term future as a football player.

For the Broncos, they will just have to wait another day to see if they have a chance to trade for Rodgers if he plays this year.
