Broncos bounce back with today’s practice: C.J. and Stokley

C.J. and Stokley – 8/4/2016 – Cecil Lammey fills in for C.J. today and is joined by Brandon Stokley live from UC Health Training Center for Thursday’s show. The guys dissect today’s practice and what stood out to them. They look into Paxton Lynch’s development so far from camp, the development of DT and the lasting impact of Peyton Manning on the team. Ryan Edwards joined the guys from camp. Plus, Peyton Manning joined the show to talk to his former teammate Brandon Stokley about Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy going into the Hall of Fame.

The guys kick off today’s show talking about the friendship between Demaryius Thomas and Brandon Stokley and Stokley talks about the development throughout DT’s career. With no clear leader at quarterback yet, Cecil and Brandon talk about the pre-season being the determining the starter for opening night against the Carolina Panthers.

Cecil and Stokley discuss the lasting impact that Peyton Manning on this team and the guys that it is shining through in camp. Cecil highlights Demaryius Thomas and C.J. Anderson leadership through camp.

To close out hour one, they discuss how some guys don’t practice great, but once the bright lights come on they turn it on and the complete opposite, guys being a great practice player, but folding when they get on the big stage.

Former Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning joins the guys to talk about Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy going into the Hall of Fame this weekend. Peyton describes what separated Marvin Harrison from the rest and work ethic that he had, as well as Tony Dungy and his coaching and leadership style. Peyton and Stokley talk about some memories of playing for Tony Dungy in Indianapolis. Peyton and the guys talk about Marvin Harrison and what made him so special on and off the field. The guys talk about how Brandon Stokley has been nervous all day about the interview with Peyton.
