C.J. and Stokley – 8/2/16 – C.J. and Brandon Stokley are back in studio live as the Broncos have a day off. The guys discuss the top stories from the camp including the QB battle, Von Miller’s impact so far and who the leader of this team will be now that Peyton Manning retired. They also chat about the Rockies coming home off a successful road trip.
C.J. and Brandon Stokley kick off hour one live in studio to talk about everything from training camp. Is Mark Sanchez taking over the offense? How many quarterbacks start this year for the Broncos? Is there any chance Paxton Lynch gets on the field at all this year? Who will be the leader of the Broncos now that Peyton Manning is gone? The guys give their take on who will step up and be the leader of this team.
The second half of hour one sees the guys chatting about the offensive line and how they are shaping up so far. Ty Sambrailo is out for a few days and rookie Connor McGovern has stepped in. How would McGovern fit on the line? As well who has showed signs of stepping up in camp as a leader.
C.J. and Stokley start the middle hour of the show to discuss the breaking news of Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu new contract and how it could impact Bradley Roby in the near future. They spend a good chunk of the hour discussing Bradley Roby’s importance to this defense and how his role may increase tremendously this season if the NFL suspends Aqib Talib this season for his shooting incident this off season.
Our own Football Insider Cecil Lammey joins the guys to talk about the tight ends and who is looking the best of that group. Cecil also gives insight into when we could see Von Miller back to practicing full go in camp and the latest DeMarcus Ware news and when we will need him the most.
