ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos got back to work Tuesday afternoon for a walk-through practice in advance of Thursday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, but did so without safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Pat Surtain II.

Neither were seen on the field as the session inside the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse began.

Both of the secondary starters are dealing with ankle injuries suffered in the last two games, respectively. Surtain has not practiced since leaving the 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers late in the first half.

Hufanga suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter of this past Sunday’s 23-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. After initially being designated as questionable to return, the Broncos ruled him out for the remainder of that game.

They were the only two players on the 53-man roster not seen on the field. Both were listed as non-participants on Monday’s estimated injury report.

BRONCOS HAD RILEY MOSS ON THE FIELD

A good sign for the Broncos was the presence of cornerback Riley Moss, who was listed with limited participation on the practice estimation one day earlier.

Moss did not practice last week due to a rib injury incurred against the 49ers.

Without Surtain and Moss against the Chargers, the Broncos started second-year cornerback Jahdae Barron and third-year veteran Kris Abrams-Draine. Hufanga was replaced after being injured Sunday by safety Devon Key, an All-Pro selection as a special teamer one year ago.
