Broncos make it official, give Davis Webb a new title

The Denver Broncos have a new offensive coordinator.

Davis Webb has been officially promoted, going from offensive pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator. Logan Kilgore is now Denver’s QB coach after spending the last three seasons as the Broncos offensive quality control coach. 

Head Coach Sean Payton has named Davis Webb as Offensive Coordinator and Logan Kilgore as Quarterbacks Coach.

Webb had plenty of interest this offseason to be an NFL head coach somewhere else, as well as offensive coordinator. Head coach Sean Payton fired Joe Lombardi after the AFC Title Game, clearing the way for Webb to get his new title.

Webb joined the Broncos staff as quarterbacks coach in 2023 after a six-year playing stint in the NFL with the Giants (2017, ’22), Jets (2018) and Bills (2019-21). He has previously served as quarterbacks coach (2023-24) on Denver’s staff, before his new title this past season.

Kilgore has spent the last three seasons with the Broncos as an offensive quality control coach after being hired by the club in 2023, assisting with the tight ends and returners. He previously spent time on coaching staffs with Arkansas State University (2021, ’22-23), Isidore Newman High School (2022) and Bakersfield College (2018).

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is also expected to stay with the Broncos, as he wasn’t hired to be an NFL head coach elsewhere.

The offseason will be a long one for Denver fans after coming so close to a Super Bowl, but the pieces are beginning to fall into place to make another run at the Lombardi Trophy next year.
