Broncos tight end lands in concussion protocol

Broncos tight end Nate Adkins is in the league-mandated concussion protocol following Monday night’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Adkins, who made his 2025 regular-season debut in Week 3 after undergoing “tightrope surgery” following a preseason ankle injury, was seen leaving the blue pop-up medical tent in the Broncos’ bench area during the second half Monday night.

He was listed as not practicing on the estimated practice report issued Wednesday afternoon.

The report was an estimation because the team did not have an on-field session, opting to have its league-mandated off-day Wednesday instead of on Tuesday, as is the typical custom following Monday night games.

TWO BRONCOS LISTED AS LIMITED ON THE ESTIMATED REPORT

Edge rusher Jonah Elliss and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. both landed on the report and would have seen limited work had there been a practice Wednesday. Elliss is dealing with a rib issue, while Mims was listed with hip and ankle injuries.

Mims landed on the injury report Saturday due to the hip problem, but played Monday night and amassed 85 yards from scrimmage.

Also listed by the Broncos on the injury report were edge rusher Nik Bonitto (wrist) and inside linebacker Alex Singleton (thumb). Both were given a full-practice estimation.

In Philadelphia, the only player listed as not practicing was a notable one: tight end Dallas Goedert, due to a knee issue. He sat out Week 2 because of a knee injury but returned to play the last two games, snatching three touchdown passes in five receptions over those contests, including two scores last Sunday.

The Eagles also opened the practice window for linebacker Nakobe Dean to return from the physically-unable-to-perform list. Philadelphia has a 21-day window to activate Dean, so that doesn’t necessarily mean he would be available Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
