ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos welcomed wide receiver Pat Bryant and tight end Nate Adkins back to practice Wednesday as they cranked up their on-field preparations for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Both players did not practice last week and missed last Thursday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to injuries suffered in the Dec. 21 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Adkins left due to a left-knee injury, while Bryant left Empower Field at Mile High on a stretcher after suffering a concussion in the game’s final moments. He was taken to a hospital for further evaluation but was released later that evening.
Adkins practiced Wednesday with a brace on his left knee and a sleeve on his left leg. He went through individual drills.
BRONCOS ONLY WITHOUT GREENLAW
Inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw was the only member of the 53-player roster who did not practice Wednesday. He pulled up late in the Jaguars game with a hamstring injury and did not practice last week.
Inside linebacker Drew Sanders was seen at practice on the sideline, but did not take part in the session. He remains on injured reserve due to a foot injury that he suffered on the second day of Broncos training camp, necessitating surgery.
