Fans encouraged to dress up for Broncos Halloween extravaganza

Normally costumes aren’t totally out of the ordinary on game day, but they normally feature Denver Broncos fans dressed up in orange and blue garb.

But on Sunday, the club is encouraging fans to dress up and join in on its game day Broncos Halloween extravaganza.

Fans attending the Broncos divisional matchup with the San Diego Chargers at Sports Authority Field will be treated to Halloween-themed events, including a dry ice in the fountain on the south side of the stadium and a professional pumpkin carver, according to a release.

The team will also host a costume contest inside the stadium on social media, and fans are encouraged to post their best efforts with the hashtag #BroncosHalloween for a chance to win prizes.

Costume policies will be in place, including limiting outfits to those in good taste and no dangerous or prohibited items on them. Not permitted are weapons (real or fake) and pumpkins, and props or accessories will be assessed by security on a case-by-case basis.

Also, all fans wearing masks will be required to remove them at the security screening checkpoints.
