Broncos break out uniform worn mainly in preseason for Week 5

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Broncos are going back to a basic look as they attempt to get their first win over a Jim Harbaugh-coached team with Justin Herbert playing quarterback.

They’ll pair white socks and pants with their typically-worn road white jerseys for the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the team announced on social media Saturday.

This will mark the fifth time the team has worn this exact combination — the most for any non-throwback uniform since the team overhauled its uniforms in 2024. Denver is 2-2 in the regular season when pairing the blue helmet with white jerseys, pants and socks.

The Broncos wore the look three times in 2024, going 2-1. But they also wore this exact uniform last year against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium, falling 23-20.

Clearly they’re not superstitious — or even “a little stitious” — about donning a uniform that is mostly worn in the preseason. Seven of the Broncos’ nine preseason games since the uniform changes saw them wear the exact look they’ll display Sunday.
