Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix had a monster touchdown run against the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.
In fact, his 62-yard TD scamper was the longest by a Broncos quarterback in franchise history.
Through six games and coming off two ankle surgeries, Nix had not run at a level anywhere close to what we all witnessed during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. But seven carries for 73 yards and a TD in the desert can make everyone feel better in a hurry.
After the Broncos wrapped up practice on Wednesday, Nix was asked about the message sent out to people after his beautiful moment in Glendale.
He was pretty blunt and honest like usual.
“I mean, quite frankly, I don’t really care what it sends out to people. I’m just going to continue to play my game and run when it’s there, throw when it’s there and put up points,” Bo Nix said.
The Broncos scored 30 points, matching their season high thus far. Between the 52-yard TD pass to RJ Harvey and Nix’s epic scramble, it feels like the pressure is off the Denver offense… for now.
Although during the play Nix didn’t know just how much green grass he had to work with.
“It was very open. I didn’t realize how open it was at the time. When you’re in that moment you kind of feel like you’re about get killed in many different directions. But when you watch it on TV there’s just a lot of space and a lot of room to run,” Bo Nix said.
Broncos Country is hoping for more runs to come from Nix — a dynamic part of what makes him so dangerous as an NFL QB. He was quick to deflect the credit.
“Great job by our guys of allowing the play to develop, and then, you know, it just all goes back to strength and conditioning,” Nix said.
If Bo Nix can stack another good game against the Chiefs on Sunday, all the fretting about his slow start might be officially a thing of the past.
Plus, a victory of Kansas City would put Denver in first place in the AFC West.
