Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix generates a ton of opinions from football fans around the country.

Some folks think he’s simply a winner, even if it’s not pretty during a chunk of the game.

Others worry that Nix isn’t seeing the football field very well right now, checking the ball down too much and costing the Broncos points.

When quarterbacks are victorious they get a lot of credit. And when they lose they get a lot of blame.

The 2-2 Broncos were back at practice Wednesday after an ugly 24-14 loss to the 49ers this past weekend. Bo Nix was asked about how he deals with so many people being vocal about his performance, good and bad, after every single game.

“For me, it’s very simple. Obviously, you don’t want to listen to too many things or too much of the noise. It’s not going to do anything for you. But at the same time you want to make sure you’re listening to your coaches or teammates and the people that are actually collectively trying to make you better and understand a little bit more of what’s going on,” Bo Nix said.

That’s a kind way of Nix saying he doesn’t care what fans or analysts think of his play. He’s focused on the people inside the Broncos’ building — which is the proper mindset.

“For me, it’s all about who you’re giving your attention to, who you’re listening to. I think there’s something really valuable about tuning out the noise and not listening to all the noise and the distractions. If you’re not careful that’s just what they become is just distractions,” Nix said.

The last thing the Broncos need is a distracted QB, so it’s a good thing Bo Nix isn’t focused on outsiders who are criticizing his play right now.

At the same time, there’s plenty for the entire Denver offense to clean up.

And it needs to happen in a hurry — or a season with Super Bowl expectations might turn sour.
