Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix sat down with Tim Tebow for a cool conversation that the team posted on their official YouTube account.
It’s a great trip down memory lane, focused on football, faith and family.
The whole thing is below and worth checking out, with plenty of moments to discuss.
Bo Nix talks about Tebow’s epic throw in the playoffs to the late Demaryius Thomas, a walk-off touchdown against the Steelers that had Mile High shaking.
Tebow said “everyone was together” in the stadium and the atmosphere was incredible. Nix talks about the Bills game last season, another wild OT postseason win and said it was pretty similar.
The two actually met when Nix was in high school and then connected more when he started his college career at Auburn. Tebow says he’s “thrilled” that Nix is in Denver because he has a lot good memories and friends here.
The conversation then changes to both men becoming fathers. Tebow mentions the level of responsibility it takes and Nix discusses navigating the journey with his wife and being “scared to death” when she’s not home.
The two talk about their favorite jersey swaps, with Tebow brining up the likes of Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders and J.J. Watt.
Nix says his favorites are Bucky Irving, Derwin James and teammates Pat Surtain II and Courtland Sutton. He also can’t wait to swap with his adopted brother Tez Johnson.
Bo Nix and Tebow will exchange their jerseys in person on Sept. 20, after the Broncos take on the Jaguars in Week 2.
“Thank you for giving me someone to look up to,” Nix wrote for Tebow. “Thank you for being a friend now.”
“Bo, your faith, determination and resilience are second to none. So proud of you. Your bother in Christ,” Tebow wrote to Nix.
It’s a cool concept and good on the Broncos for making it happen. And good on Bo Nix and Tim Tebow for sitting down and having such an authentic chat and sharing it with the world.
