An oft-underrated Broncos player finally cracks the NFL’s Top 100

Courtland Sutton doesn't get the praise he deserves, but perhaps Tuesday's news shows that trend is starting to change in the NFL

A year ago, Courtland Sutton was coming off of an 81-catch, 1,081-yard, eight-touchdown season. But he didn’t make the Pro Bowl following that 2024 campaign. And he didn’t crack the NFL’s Top 100.

Fast forward 12 months and the Broncos wide receiver is finally getting his due. After posting a second-second-consecutive 1,000-yard season, Sutton was voted to his second Pro Bowl. On Tuesday, he earned a spot on the league’s list of the 100 best players in 2026, the first time he’s received that honor.

It’s long overdue praise for the ninth-year pro. In his seven full seasons (he played just one game in 2020), Sutton is averaging more than 60 receptions and 900 yards per year. He’s also scored 39 touchdowns.

The wideout has been hugely productive, but he doesn’t get the accolades of other flashier players at his positions. Sutton is more of a grinder, whereas other receivers put up glossier numbers.

But he’s the consummate pro. Sutton is dependable, reliable and consistent. He’s a huge part of the Broncos offense, something that was finally recognized after the team went 14-3 last season.

Courtland Sutton is amongst the most-underrated players in the NFL. When he became the second Broncos player to crack this year’s Top 100 list, however, that started to change. The wide receiver is finally starting to get his flowers.
