48 Hours Until Live Action: Stokley & Zach

Stokley & Zach 08/08/2017 – The guys have 9 News’, Ron Zappolo on. Ron will be the one in the booth calling the game on Thursday in Chicago. Fan Broncos Insider, Cecil Lammey joins the guys from training camp as well. Trevor Siemian was live at the podium today.

Hour one kicks off with how The Broncos are preparing for their first pre-season game against The bears in Chicago. The man in the booth calling the game on Thursday, Ron Zappolo joins the guys out at training camp ’17. Ron and the guys talk about how Paxton is probably not ready to take the reigns just yet. Ron says this is the best group of running backs in a long time.

Broncos quarterback, Trevor Siemian is live at Dove Valley. Trevor is excited about getting live reps as he is set to start against the Chicago bears on Thursday. Trevor says the everyone is working together but he is anxious to see what happens with live action. the Fna’s Own, D-Mac and Cecil Lammey join the guys after D-Mac throw Brandon under the bus at the press conference after day 11 of camp.

Brandon starts off hour two with comparing Paxton to the 2016 Mark Sanchez at Broncos camp. Zach and Brandon agree that Paxton is a lot better but is making mistakes that coaches cannot accept. Paxton is at the podium on Tuesday and the guys have the audio. Fan broncos Insider, Cecil Lammey joins the guys to talk about what Paxton Lynch has to do in order to make the competition a little more even. Cecil responds with limiting the mistakes and performing well in games.

Stokley’s star of the day on day 11 was tight end, AJ Derby after he was on the depth chart behind second year man, Jeff Heuerman. The guys are wondering about Jamaal Charles’ role and with him not playing he cannot solidify a roster spot. Brandon’s old quarterback Jay Cutler just got a new starting job with the Miami Dolphins and Stoke doesn’t get a text back after trying to tell him congratulations.

For the rest of the hour Zach and Stoke dive into the game on Thursday. They say that we have to be careful when evaluating Demarcus Walker. Brandon says that he wouldn’t hold anyone back on defense on Thursday and has some names who need to just be thrown in the fire to see what they have.
