The Denver Broncos have cut right tackle Ja’Wuan James, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Broncos placed James on the reserve/non-football injury list last week after he tore his Achilles while working out on his own away from the team’s facility.
The release on James will be a post-June 1 designation, meaning the dead money incurred will be split over this year and next.
The news of James’ release comes just after the right tackle sent a tweet saying the NFLPA has to “have our backs‘ if they are advising players not to participate in offseason programs with their teams.

The former Dolphins first-round pick signed a 4-year, $51M deal with Denver and only played in three games in 2019 due to a knee injury suffered in Week 1.
The Denver Broncos signed Bobby Massie to play right tackle on Wednesday, agreeing to a one-year, $4 million deal.
