Former Colorado Buffaloes star and current Jacksonville Jaguars two-way player Travis Hunter will miss some time after suffering a knee injury during Thursday’s practice, head coach Liam Coen shared.
Coen told the media Friday that Hunter went down with a non-contact injury and that the team was still trying to determine whether Hunter would play again this season.
Hunter goes right to Injured Reserve, which means he’ll at least miss the next four games of his rookie season, taking him out of action through Week 12 at minimum.
The second overall pick in this spring’s draft, Hunter had just had his best offensive showing as a pro before the Jaguars’ bye week. He’s become the WR No. 1 and caught eight passes for 104 yards and scored his first touchdown during a blowout loss to the Rams in London.
On the season, Hunter has played a combined 486 snaps, split with 324 of those on offense and 162 snaps on defense. Last fall’s Heisman got hurt a few times in college, missing a bigger part of his junior season.
