The Colorado Buffaloes have not often wore their traditional look since Deion Sanders took over as head coach.

Coach Prime has changed the look of Buffs football in a lot of ways, and bringing new uniforms to campus while he re-partnered with Nike was a big deal. There’s a long relationship of Nike in Boulder and Prime’s relationship with the company is, as his son would say, legendary. The two teamed up to get Colorado a new look after 10 years of what they had worn before.

Still, CU has not yet worn all the possible combinations of their relatively new uniforms. There’s a gold look teased that hasn’t been worn like that among the several options Prime laid out on a floor in his Boulder office on Instagram. There he also teased some shoes, which we’ll get to.

On that floor over Folsom Field was white-on-white, white-on-gold, gold-on-gold, gray-on-gray, black-on-black flatirons look, and a more traditional black-on-black. Nowhere was the traditional gold-black-gold that has been strangely missing for much of the team’s most visible era.

What about the shoes? There’s are Colorado colorways, a team travel shoe in Prime’s Nike’s coming to the Buffs this year, according to a video his son posted.

I think Deion should focus on improving team play and his coaching instead of the flashy stuff that doesn't matter.
