The world’s first look at the 2026 CU Buffs football team will come on April 11, when the program hosts its annual Spring Game.
Deion Sanders has brought in more than 50 new players to surround Julian Lewis in hopes of a much better fourth year in charge of Colorado. The team will build up to the exhibition with spring practices beginning on March 2. CU says tickets for the spring game are free but must be claimed with the window opening on March 3.
The team will scrimmage a the event, which kicks off at 1 p.m. at Folsom Field.
This year the school is also inviting the women’s lacrosse team and the women’s tennis team to showcase some of their skills that day. It’ll be part of the show that includes Ralphie VII, community events and field day and autographs for the kids.
The Buffaloes first spring game under Coach Prime was sold out and brought tons of attention, including a national TV broadcast to Boulder. No word yet on TV for this year’s edition. But as Sanders has settled in and the results have disappointed, the hype has dissipated a bit. This spring will be about generating positive momentum for the program after a woeful 3-9 campaign.
Colorado will play meaningful games in the fall, with their first contest coming in Atlanta on Sept. 3.
The countdown to Black & Gold Day starts now. 🦬
