The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves will play a massive Game 6 on Thursday night.
And the Wolves will already be without two key players and could be without two more.
Superstar Anthony Edwards and starting guard Donte DiVincenzo are done for the series. Edwards is out “weeks” with a knee issue and DiVincenzo unfortunately ripped his Achilles in Game 4.
Now, both Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland are on the injury report and listed as questionable for Thursday night’s showdown. With Minnesota up 3-2 in the series they’re looking to end Denver’s season at home.
UPDATED Minnesota @Timberwolves Status Report in advance of tonight’s Game 6 vs. Denver Nuggets:
QUESTIONABLE
Dosunmu- Right Calf Soreness
Hyland- Left Knee SorenessOUT
DiVincenzo- Right Achilles Tendon Repair
Edwards- Left Knee Bone Bruise https://t.co/S4HyIArd4K— Timberwolves PR (@Twolves_PR) April 30, 2026
The Timberwolves had a shocking second half in Game 4, outscoring the Nuggets by 20 points without Edwards and DiVincenzo.
That was done largely on the back of Dosunmu who poured in a ridiculous 43 points off the Minnesota bench. He’s averaging 21.8 points per game in this series, making him the Wolves leader.
And Hyland, the controversial former Nugget, has been solid too. He’s made eight three-pointers over the five contests including three each in Games 2 and 5. With Minnesota lacking scoring head coach Chris Finch will be counting on Hyland for a spark.
We should get more clarity closer to tip-off, but it’s hard to see the Timberwolves having enough punch to beat the Nuggets if Dosunmu and / or Hyland can’t go.
If Denver wins this evening then a decisive Game 7 would be on Saturday at Ball Arena.
(Update 5:58 p.m.) –
Hyland is in, but according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Dosunmu is out. It’s a major blow to Minnesota.
