Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is sneaky funny.

And as his list of NBA accolades grows, so does his marketing. But in its own playful and Jokic way.

Taco Bell brought back the Quesarito last month, the menu item that was famously on the television screen when Jokic was drafted No. 41 overall by the Nuggets during the 2014 NBA Draft.

The ad campaign was in part to get Nikola Jokic to try the Quesarito, something he “refused” to do.

But, it might have been a bit after all, as NBA insider Shams Charania released video on Friday of the three-time MVP eating one for the “first time.” The first slide below is a photo, but if you hit the arrow on the right you can scroll over to the video.

This is obviously scripted, as Charania even wrote “#TacoBellPartner” on the post, but it’s funny nonetheless.

Nikola Jokic turned heads when he released some hilarious hotels commercials a couple of years back and now it looks like he and Taco Bell are woking together.

Where it could lead is anyone’s guess, but perhaps a Super Bowl commercial with Jokic and Taco Bell? It doesn’t feel like his style, but he’s also the best player in the NBA, so never say never.

And yes, next time he talks with the media, Nikola Jokic will assuredly get asked how he much liked the Quesarito. That’s how good marketing works.
