Nuggets show off new dual-toned home floor

The Denver Nuggets base court look at Ball Arena will be different for the 2026-27 season.

The team released a video and a graphic on Tuesday displaying the new hardwood, which has been changed for the first time in several years. The tweaks are small, going from a blue apron around the court to unpainted darker wood. That shade will also be inside the arc where it stops for a blue painted area. Previously the paint was, well, unpainted.

The team’s alternate logo has been stripped from the restricted area while yellow has been added along with red to the dashes and court lines. The team’s center-court logo was also made smaller and the unpainted wood itself has been changed slightly from a very light color to a mix of a light-based array. Finally, and maybe most-notably the club’s city edition logo, which mirrors the team’s famed-1980s-look, of the skyline in front of the mountains has been added to the near-sideline for TV viewers.

This is likely just one of a few court looks for the Nuggets, who have also had more colorful courts for the NBA Cup and have touted an alternate court for their city edition jerseys in recent years. Could those be coming again, and may we get a special court to celebrate the team’s 60th anniversary, as they’re expected to have a special jersey for that as well?
