The Denver Nuggets begin the 2022-23 NBA season in earnest next week, taking the court for training camp.
But before they hit the hardwood, the club debuted a new look on social media Thursday. Well a modified look. The Nuggets have taken the Mile High City jerseys that they’ve worn for a few years and changed the stripping, added some stars, and made some other minor changes.
Perhaps since it was just an alteration is why the Nuggets social media accounts didn’t really hype up a true new uniform. Instead, they dropped a cryptic tweet on Wednesday, ahead of dropping a video on Thursday.

The new jersey features red striping on the shorts, where there used to be a darker blue. The jersey’s numbers and font are also outlined in red, and the striping on the top appears to be a thicker red.

The Nuggets begin their season on Oct. 19. They likely will not start with their newish uniforms on the road. Still, it is good to remember these statement edition uniforms are linked to back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic, since some of his biggest games have come in that jersey.
