Chiefs trade first-round pick for offensive tackle Orlando Brown

The Kansas City Chiefs have traded their first-round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens for left tackle Orlando Brown, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

Along with Brown, Kansas City will receive a 2021 second-round pick (No. 58) and a 2022 sixth-round pick.

The trade is being pinned as an “excellent” move from the Chiefs to fill one of its biggest holes. The Chiefs weren’t going to find an immediate starter of Brown’s caliber at No. 32 in this year’s draft.

Brown is entering the final year of his rookie deal and will make $3.384 million in 2021. He also joins Joe Thuney in the trenches, who signed a five-year, $80 million contract with Kansas City last month.
