The last time the United States Men’s National Team played in Denver, they outlasted Mexico in a thrilling CONCACAF Nations League Final for an iconic moment — they’ll return to Colorado in October for a friendly.

US Soccer announced two exhibition matches for the fall on Monday, as the men build up to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup on home soil.

The First match will be against Ecuador in Austin. They’re in Colorado four days later, where the United States will host Australia in Commerce City. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. on TNT, HBO Max, Universo and Peacock, or you can snag tickets at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The Socceroos are the 24th-ranked nation in the world. The Americans have only faced them three times and they’re level at 1-1-1. The last meeting was on June 5, 2010, in a final tune-up for both teams before the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The USA won that match 3-1. They could meet again in next year’s World Cup.

DICK’S Sporting Goods Park has been a nice home for the Americans, who are 3-0 at the stadium. All of those matches have been FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where the USA has shut out its foes. Most famously, was the March 22, 2013 “Snow Clasico” win against Costa Rica, which took place in freezing temperatures during a big-time winter storm.

Two Colorado Rapids players are vying for the USMNT come the 2026 event: midfielder Djordje Mihailovic and goalkeeper Zack Steffen.
