Opening Day for the Rockies arrives Friday, and their roster is set, featuring 10 newcomers in all.

Headlined by three-fifths of the rotation, the overhauled Rockies lineup is dotted with imports as new president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta immediately began putting his stamp on the organization from the top down.

Just 10 players on the season-opening roster were there to begin the 2025 campaign. Infielder/outfielder Tyler Freeman, who was also with the club to commence last year, will start the year on the 10-day injured list while he deals with lower-back inflammation.

ROCKIES’ BULLPEN FINALIZED — WITHOUT THEIR 2025 SAVES LEADER

Seth Halvorsen will start the season at AAA Albuquerque despite leading the Rockies in saves last year with 11. However, he was far from the team’s bullpen leader in other metrics; for example, his WAR of 0.2, according to Baseball Reference, was well behind that of Victor Vodnik’s 1.8.

The team’s bullpen will include right-handed pitchers Zach Agnos, Chase Dollander, Jimmy Herget, Jaden Hill, Juan Mejia, Antonio Senzatela and Victor Vodnik and left-hander Brennan Bernardino.

All but Bernardino were with the team last year; the veteran was acquired in November from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for minor-league outfielder Braiden Ward, who reached Albuquerque last year.
