Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman was named a finalist Thursday for the National League Silver Slugger Award at catcher. It is his second straight year as a finalist.

Goodman, who won the award in 2025, is up against Arizona’s Gabriel Moreno. If he wins, he would be the first Rockies player to win back-to-back Silver Sluggers since Trevor Story in 2018 and 2019.

Goodman hit 41 home runs this past season, the most by a Rockies player since Nolan Arenado in 2019. Only the Cubs’ Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber hit more in the National League, with 45 each. Goodman hit 25 of his homers away from Coors Field and 16 at home.

The 27-year-old hit .245 with 88 RBI and an .839 OPS. He also made his second straight All-Star team.

Moreno won the NL batting title with a .311 average. He hit 16 home runs and had an .874 OPS.

Major League Baseball managers and coaches vote on the award and can’t vote for their own players. Winners will be announced Tuesday, Nov. 17.
