Charlie Blackmon earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his two-run single against the Brewers on Monday afternoon in Coors Field.

Colorado and Milwaukee were tied 0-0 in the first inning when Blackmon came to the plate with the bases loaded. The Rockies veteran outfielder slashed a single to left, giving the team an early 2-0 lead. Unfortunately the bats went silent pretty much the rest of the game, and Colorado fell to the Brewers 6-4. The Rockies are now 57-79 on the year and 36 games back of the Dodgers in the NL West.
