Brendan Rodgers earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his two RBI double against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night in South Florida.
The Rockies were leading the Marlins 1-0 in the third inning when Rodgers came to the plate with two guys on. His hit gave Colorado a 3-0 lead, rolling all the way to the wall and scoring Connor Joe and Charlie Blackmon. Unfortunately, Colorado would eventually drop the game 9-8.
