These 12 Rockies are playing in the World Baseball Classic

The Colorado Rockies are far from having the best baseball team in the world but plenty of club’s players will be representing the globe this month in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

A dozen players currently with the Rockies will play for eight different countries and a few more big names with ties to the purple pinstripes are partaking as well. Fans in Colorado will likely want to root for Venezuela if they’re looking for a second team to cheer alongside the Americans. Longtime Rockies pitcher Antonio Senzatela and young star shortstop Ezequiel Tovar are each playing for their home country.

The tournament begins on Wednesday in Tokyo, and the teams in North America start play on Friday.
