Von Miller undergoes an MRI, making his status moving forward TBD

While early indications suggest that the linebacker's knee injury isn't serious, it is a cause for concern when the team's star player is undergoing tests

During his Monday press conference, Vic Fangio dropped a bit of a bombshell. No, it wasn’t that Drew Lock would be starting on Sunday at quarterback for the Broncos. Instead, it was that the current face of the franchise dealing with an injury.

That doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it wasn’t quite the whole story. After a little digging, Nicki Jhabvala from The Athletic provided more details.

Uh oh. That definitely sounds more ominous than “some tests.” An MRI is a sign that the team wanted to confirm that there wasn’t any structural damage to the knee.

By all accounts, the injury doesn’t seem serious. At this point, the Broncos are just being precautious.

In a season that has been a tremendous disappointment, one that has seen it’s fair share of injuries that have helped derail the Broncos best-laid plans, losing Von Miller would be the worst news of all. Bryce Callahan, Bradley Chubb, Joe Flacco and Ja’Wuan James have all been big losses, but they aren’t in the same category as No. 58.
