The Fan named finalist for prestigious Crystal Award

The National Association of Broadcasters announced Thursday that Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan was among the finalists for upcoming 34th annual NAB Crystal Radio Awards, which recognizes radio stations for their “year-round commitment to community service.”

“Being nominated for an NAB Crystal Radio Award is a tremendous honor,” said program director Raj Sharan. “Our goal at The Fan is to build up, inform, connect and celebrate families and communities. We’re humbled that our efforts in these areas have been recognized.”

The Fan joins fellow Bonneville – Denver stations KOSI 101.1 and 98.5 KYGO as the only three from the state of Colorado up for the award.

Finalists will be celebrated during a special awards program held April 13, and 10 winners will be announced from the pool of 50 stations from across the United States.
