Study ranks Fort Collins among top 10 worst football cities in US

With Denver the epicenter of Broncos Country, its status among the top football cities in the United States is fairly cemented.

But according to a recent study from WalletHub, that prestige doesn’t quite reach along the Front Range.

Fort Collins, the home of the Colorado State Rams, ranked among the top 10 worst cities in the country for football fans, per the financial website’s calculations.

Accounting for 245 different towns and cities across the U.S. with at least one football team — college or professional — WalletHub ranked Fort Collins lower than any other place in Colorado at No. 236.

Other cities in Colorado on the list are Boulder (No. 221), Greeley (No. 215) and Colorado Springs (No. 114).

To determine the scores for each city, WalletHub graded each city on a 100-point scale using 21 different metrics.
